How to share a meeting

Open a meeting and choose Share, then name the people who may read it. They sign in to Walkie with that address and see the notes and transcript; the link alone does not let anyone else in, and it expires after 30 days. Every link you have sent is listed under Shared on the web dashboard, with who has opened it and a button to revoke. On the Team plan you can instead share into a workspace, where teammates see meetings and folders in their own copy of Walkie. Sharing with other people is off by default; a Cloud Mode meeting still syncs to your own account.

  1. Open the meeting from the Meetings list.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Copy the link Walkie gives you.The share sheet names exactly who will be able to read it before you confirm.

Only the people you name can open it. You enter their email addresses when you share, and they have to sign in to Walkie with a matching address before they see anything — the link on its own is not enough. It expires after 30 days, or when you revoke it.

Every link you have sent is listed under Shared on the web dashboard — who it went to, who has actually opened it, what the link includes, and how long it has left. Revoking from there takes effect immediately, for everyone.

Share into a team workspace

On the Team plan, meetings and folders can be shared with your workspace instead of by link. Teammates on a paid seat can share them too, and the whole team can see what is shared while the owner pays for Team. Teammates see shared meetings inside their own Walkie, and access follows workspace membership — when someone leaves the workspace, they stop seeing what the team shares.

Sharing a folder shares everything in it, including meetings added later.

Everything shared with the team collects in the Team section of Walkie's sidebar — one stream you can filter by person or by folder, with an ask box that answers questions across it (Cloud Mode).

Meetings someone shared with the team stay with the team when that person leaves, is removed, or deletes their Walkie account. They move to From former teammates in the Team section, where they are read-only and only the owner can delete them. See How to transfer or leave a Walkie team.

The workspace itself — invites, team seats, member roles, and the team logo — is managed in Settings → Team admin. The owner and admins invite and remove people. The owner looks after seats and billing, and can hand the whole team, billing included, to a teammate. Every change that costs money shows the exact charge before it happens.

Editing from the web

A meeting opened in the web dashboard is a two-way copy, not a read-only snapshot. Edits made there — including deletions — are pulled back into the desktop app the next time it syncs.

Frequently asked questions about how to share a meeting

Do recipients need a Walkie account?

Yes. A web link opens only for the people you named, once they sign in to Walkie with a matching address. Workspace sharing needs the recipient to have a Walkie account in that workspace.

What happens to meetings I shared with the team if I leave?

They stay with the team and are removed from your Walkie account. Everything else in your account stays yours, and copies already on your computer stay there.

Can I un-share a meeting?

Yes. Revoke the link from the Share menu and it stops working immediately.

Is the audio shared along with the transcript?

No. A share link exposes the notes and transcript, not the original recording.
