How to teach Walkie a name or a word

Open Settings → Vocabulary → Dictionary and add the word. Most entries are a single word — a person's name, a product name, an acronym — and adding one fixes it in every future dictation, in both Cloud Mode and On-Device Mode. Walkie also learns from corrections you make to your own transcripts.

Add a word

  1. Open Settings → Vocabulary → Dictionary.
  2. Click Add and type the word as it should be written.Enter the spelling you want to see, not a phonetic version of it.
  3. Save. It applies to your next dictation.

Learning from your corrections

When you correct a transcript in Walkie, it notices. Repeated corrections of the same word are offered as dictionary entries, so the common cases end up in your dictionary without you having to think of them in advance.

Both modes use it

Dictionary corrections are applied on your machine after transcription, so they work identically in Cloud Mode and On-Device Mode. Switching modes never loses your vocabulary.
