How to share a meeting

Open a meeting and choose Share. Walkie gives you a web link that anyone with the link can open — no Walkie account needed — showing the notes and transcript. On the Team plan you can instead share into a workspace, where teammates see meetings and folders in their own copy of Walkie. Sharing is off by default; nothing leaves your machine until you share it.

  1. Open the meeting from the Meetings list.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Copy the link Walkie gives you.The share sheet names exactly who will be able to read it before you confirm.

Anyone with the link can open it in a browser and read the notes and transcript. They do not need a Walkie account. The link stays live until you revoke it.

Share into a team workspace

On the Team plan, meetings and folders can be shared with your workspace instead of by link. Teammates see them inside their own Walkie, and access follows workspace membership — when someone leaves the workspace, their access goes with it.

Sharing a folder shares everything in it, including meetings added later.

Editing from the web

A meeting opened in the web dashboard is a two-way copy, not a read-only snapshot. Edits made there — including deletions — are pulled back into the desktop app the next time it syncs.

Frequently asked questions about how to share a meeting

Do recipients need a Walkie account?

Not for a web link. Anyone with the link can read it. Workspace sharing does require the recipient to have a Walkie account in that workspace.

Can I un-share a meeting?

Yes. Revoke the link from the Share menu and it stops working immediately.

Is the audio shared along with the transcript?

No. A share link exposes the notes and transcript, not the original recording.
