Does a bot join my meetings?
No. Walkie runs on your computer and captures the audio you already hear and speak. Nothing appears in the participant list, on any platform.
Which meeting apps does it work with?
Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Slack, FaceTime, Webex, Discord, WhatsApp — anything that plays audio through your computer, in the browser or the desktop app.
What happens when the free trial runs out?
Walkie keeps recording. Audio banks for 60 days with the first two minutes transcribed on-device as a preview — upgrade any time and everything transcribes retroactively.
What about meetings in other languages?
The transcript stays in the language spoken — switch mid-sentence and it follows. No silent translation, no forced English.
Can I share a meeting with someone who doesn't use Walkie?

How private is this, really?
Audio only streams while someone is speaking, and in On-Device Mode nothing leaves your computer at all — transcription runs on-device. Transcribed meetings are kept for as long as you keep Walkie; untranscribed free-tier recordings bank for 60 days. Shared only if you share them.
Does it work for in-person meetings?
Yes — hit Record and the mic channel captures the room, no call app required. Same transcript, notes, and action items as a video call.
Do meetings need to be on my calendar?
No. Detection watches for real calls, not calendar events — ad-hoc huddles and 'quick call?' links are caught the moment they start.
How accurate are the transcripts?
Each side of the call is captured on its own channel, so speakers never get mixed up, and the names and jargon in your Walkie dictionary are spelled right in meetings too. Echo from speakers is cleaned up automatically.
Is recording people legal?
Consent laws vary by place. Walkie gives you the controls and makes it your call, like any recorder — nothing is shared unless you share it.
